Types of  soil which may occur zinc deficiency as below:

Calcareous  soil (alkaline soil), which refers to soil with pH values greater than 7.

Swampy rice  field

Fields with  over supply of alkaline fertilizer may results in zinc shortage

Fields with  over supply of phosphorous fertilizer, or newly cultivated land or poor sand  land

Zinc  application achieve its best efforts when soil in shortage of zinc less than  0.3 mg/kg. while when soil with zinc of 1mg/kg there is no need to apply zinc  fertilizer.
